Buying regularly from trusted trading partners is not always enough to protect you from becoming a victim of fraudsters.
A long-time Member of IPT has shared their experience with us to warn the industry, in the hope that others will be able to avoid becoming victims in the future.
“We have received a shipment for Apple Airpods 2 today. All items were FAKE Apple. Our logistics supported us to spot these products were FAKES / COPIES.”
Fraudsters are becoming increasingly more sophisticated in replicating goods, making fakes harder to spot. It’s been reported that some scammers even use genuine packaging to contain fake goods of the exact weight and specification.
Buying goods based solely on the reputation of your supplier without doing thorough checks on the goods themselves could potentially lead to serious issues and likely returns.
We recommend you professionally inspect the goods using thorough checking methods
See images below which highlight some of the differences between the genuine and counterfeit goods in this case.
