BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR THE FORMER VANTIS TEAM

We are pleased to announce that Don Mavin – formerly the Head of the Tax Disputes & Litigation Team at Vantis plc., - has moved, with his entire team, to Begbies Traynor LLP where he has been appointed Managing Partner of Tax.

IPT readers will be aware that it was the Vantis team that was a leading light in combating HMRC’s policy of denying VAT repayments to traders on the grounds of alleged knowledge of a fraud elsewhere in a supply chain.  We are also highly experienced in the handling of disputes with HMRC.

The Customs Investigation team of Allan Brown, Martin O’Neill, Simon Sutcliffe and Ian Manly will continue to offer the same in-depth, specialist advice and range of expertise which ensured that they were one of the most successful and respected team of VAT and Customs specialists in the market, with a proven track record of success in both civil and criminal litigation.  The Begbies team offer an unrivalled record of success in handling cases of alleged knowledge of MTIC fraud in both the Tax Tribunal and higher courts

BTG Tax will be pleased to assist in all aspects of your case – from decision letter to Tribunal and beyond.
